Wrap up warm and join us for a magical “must-do” evening event with the world’s most famous nocturnal birds!

We start the evening with a mulled wine or hot, spiced apple juice.

We head out to meet the aviary owls – the centre is lit only by lanterns and fairy lights.

Then we head to Xmas Tree Cottage to see some of the tiny owls flying.

After finishing the tour of aviary owls we head to the Owl House Cafe for a 2 course meal. Click HERE for menu information together with allergens.

Finally we see the large owls flying free in the darkness of our woodland flying ground, lit only by torchlight, the highlight of the evening.

This very special evening starts at 7pm prompt and ends at around 9.45pm (ish). The evenings are suitable for children aged 8 and over. Please note – this is (obviously!) a dark activity. Therefore we ask photographers not to use a flash – which makes taking photos challenging!

THE OWL EVENINGS ARE TICKETED ONLY; TICKETS ARE £45 EACH.

Dates can be seen on the calendar below. Numbers are limited to 40 per evening. Any problems – contact us.

[pullquote2 style=”left” quote=”light”]What an evening to remember! I loved every minute of it. The whole evening was well organised. The handlers were humorous, extremely knowledgeable and very passionate about the owls. A real opportunity to observe these amazing creatures. All finished off with a mulled wine and supper. An early Christmas present which I loved. Well worth a visit.”[/pullquote2]

[pullquote2 style=”left” quote=”light”]We booked an owl evening as a birthday treat. We were taken for a very informative walk around the small owl aviaries by torchlight and then experienced some wonderful indoor flying by the smaller owls. It was then time for a good hot meal: soup, baked potato, beef stew (or vegetarian option) and peas, followed by hot mince pies and very good coffee. Then on to more owl spotting, the larger owls in their aviaries and the highlight of the evening: flying the larger owls out of doors by torchlight.
It was a superb experience and one to be highly recommended. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and their enthusiasm is contagious.” TripAdvisor [/pullquote2]

[pullquote2 style=”left” quote=”light”]We have now visited during the day and, most recently, attended the Winter Owl Evening a couple of days ago. The Centre is in a lovely setting, the staff are super and the information provided about each of the birds is well worth taking the time to read. The flying displays are definitely a highlight of the visit. The Winter Owl Evening was beautifully organised from start to finish and the chance to see such wonderful birds at close quarters is a privilege not to be missed.” TripAdvisor[/pullquote2]
