HAWK HIKE – FALCONRY EXPERIENCE

FANCY HAVING A GO? – HOW’S THIS FOR A FALCONRY EXPERIENCE?

We’ll lend you a glove and then set off on our Hawk Hike on one of our various routes with a trained Harris Hawk. With the Harris Hawk following through the trees, everyone will get the chance to call the hawk down to their fist a number of times – a camera is a good idea! The whole experience lasts about an hour.

“We booked on a hawk hike too, which was excellent and well worth doing as you get to call down the hawk while walking around the grounds, it’s an amazing experience. I have been to several bird of prey centres in Yorkshire and this is by far the best.” Tim from Norton

“We had such a good time watching the displays, learning about the different birds and seeing them up close that we went back for a hawk hike a few days later! The centre’s guides and falconers (Katie took us round) are very knowledgeable. You really do need to see it for yourself as there is no greater thrill than calling a Harris hawk to feed off your glove.” TripAdvisor

“We turned up today and were only going to enquire whether they had bird experiences. They found us a space on a hawk hike. £30.00 each including entry into the attraction.

It was for my son’s birthday treat and it was fabulous. He really came out of his shell and hasn’t stopped talking about it all the way home. Our hawk was called Bracken and he was lovely and so well trained. It was a lovely setting and like having a private education experience for us adults and so on exciting for our 10 year old.” TripAdvisor
